The City of Mount Vernon is crafting a Comprehensive Plan meant for the 21st​

Century! Phase 1 focused on the city's downtown core. Currently, we are conducting Phase 2, which focuses on the neighborhoods and industrial areas that comprise the city.​​

The Comprehensive Plan is a document that determines the course of the city's future, guiding decisions on topics like:
